First Impression...
Suddenly, i want to recall back some of my travelogue 1st-impression memories...
BEIJING
1st impression:
When i saw the famous Great Wall in front of my own eyes..i was so speechless..it was so astounding and the best thing was..i managed to climb till the peak...which was very challenging during winter time. This was my 1st international trip as a PTD officer..so i was so excited.
Places that i went: The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Ming Tomb and BeiHai Park.
VATICAN CITY
1st impression:
Fuyohhh...tak sangka dah sampai italy...i still couldn't believe that 'i'm in europe' at that time..still in the blurry-zone world. Vatican city was our first stop n it is surrounded mostly by beautiful buildings with massive old structure. Once i stepped inside..'perghhhhh'..
Places that i went: Saint Peter's Basilica
ROME
1st impression:
The moment when i saw the famous Colosseum..i was like....'warghhhhhh...cantik nyer sangat-sangat'. Again, i couldn't believe that this historical building was in front of me..'macam tak percaya sangat sangat ler sume benda2 ni ada depan mata...huhu'.
Places that i went: Colosseum, Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II, Arch of Constantine, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
PISA
1st impression:
Pisa is purely white and purely beautiful. I was so excited to see the famous Leaning Tower which is the bell tower for the city's cathedral. It is situated behind the Cathedral and is the third oldest structure in Pisa's Cathedral Square.
Places that i went: Piazza del Duomo
FLORENCE
1st impression:
When i looked at florence-the city..i thought of 'nightingale'. We managed to see city's sunset view which was really beautiful. Then, we went to Piazza della Signoria and we got the opportunity to see some of the famous characters statues such as Hercules, Perseus with the Head of Medusa and Michaelangelo.
Places that i went: Fontana del Nettuno, Palazzo Vecchio and Loggia dei Lanzi in the Piazza della Signoria.
VENICE
1st impression:
Venice..venice..venice..i love venice. It is such a romantic city and it is so beautiful. I love the historical buildings and i love the surrounding environment which is so soothing.
Places that i went: Piazza San Marco, view from afar of the Rialto Bridge, St Mark's Basilica, saw The Bridge of Sighs and the Grand Canal.
VERONA
1st impression:
I was excited to reach here coz it is the 'Romeo & Juliet' city. I got the opportunity to see Juliet's house and it was such a classic city. Verona is a splendid example of city that full of binding artistic elements of very high quality from the various historical periods.
Places that i went: The Balcony of Juliet's house and view from afar of the Arena.
INNSBRUCK
1st impression:
Honestly, i know nothing about this city but when i reached here..my feeling was '..unik nyer city ni..'. N, i got my 1st jakun-tengok-salji moment in this city. Snow was everywhere with the Alps in the background and i liked it very much. The Inn River was really beautiful.
Places that i went: The Altstadt, the Goldenes Dachl, Stadtturm-the Old City Watch Tower, view form afar of the ski jump stadium and the Swarovski store.
SALZBURG
1st impression: What i know about this city is just that the Sound of Music was filmed here. N it is the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Yet that i know that it is such a beautiful city and i felt like i was in the Ice Queen movie coz snow is everywhere and i loved it.
Places that i went: Salzburg Cathedral, the Getreidegasse, view from afar of the Hohensalzburg Castle, Mirabell Gardens and Palace, Mozart's birthplace and the Sound of Music's filming locations.
VIENNA
1st impression:
Vienna..it has a different style of buildings..more like kotak kotak besar. N it was really cold over here. The best thing that i experienced in this city was that the snow fell heavily when we were at the Schönbrunn Palace n i got the opportunity to explore one of the europe's famous castle and '..fuhhhhhh..'...it was really outstanding.
Places that i went: Schönbrunn Palace, The Belvedere, Austrian Parliament Building, St. Stephen's Cathedral and view from afar of the Rathaus as well as University of Vienna .
BALI
1st impression:
Even though Bali is so famous..honestly i'm not a fan..dunno why. But there were some interesting places that attracted me for its unique elements.
Places that i went: Kuta Beach, Uluwatu, Kintamani, Pura Tirta Empul, Tanah Lot, Jatiluwih, Ulan Danu and Git Git waterfall.
LONDON
1st impression:
'..Alhamdulillah...sampai gak london akhirnya..'..that was my 1st feeling after almost 12-hour flight with my almost-8 month preggy condition. It wasn't an easy journey for me..coz i tend to get tired easily but i had fun.
Places that i went: Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Albert hall, Harrods, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, House of Parliament, London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Thames River Cruise, Oxford Street, London Central Mosque and Regent's Park.
PARIS
1st impression:
'...perghhh...cantik nyer eiffel tower..mm..tak sangka dapat gak jejak paris..'. When i saw the gigantic Eiffel Tower..i didn't believe it..i didn't believe that i got the opportunity to taste the famous eiffel. N another attraction..of course..the famous Mona Lisa. We searched like crazy for this painting inside the Louvre..n when we found it..'..oohhh...ini Mona Lisa yang famous tu..kikiki'. Paris..it is a beautiful city in its own right and i loved it but venice is still my favourite.
Places that i went: Eiffel Tower, Opera House, The Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, Place De Bastile, Invalides, La Madeline, Musee D Orsay, Louis Vuitton building, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées and Trocadero.
