Smallville predecessor
'Mm...smallville dh abis..nak layan citer ape pasni?'
That was what we thought after Smallville had wrapped up its season. We didn't have interest in any tv series what-so-ever. Until, we came across into the Vampire Diaries.
I still remember when the 1st time my brother, Fizal, handover to me the Vampire Diaries Season 1 box set.
'Ala..best ke?'
I didn't want to watch any copycat movie-to-drama version of Twilight. Enough is enough.
Then, i watched it together with hubby.
'Mmm...best la..lain from Twilight. Plot citer best'
Now the tv serie is airing for its third season and we're so glued with it.

The Doppelganger
A Petrova Doppelgänger is a term used to describe two women of the Petrova family line, known as Katherine and Elena. They are both descendants from Tatia, the progenitor of the Petrova Doppelgänger line. The relationship between Elena and Katherine is based on their mutual love for Stefan and Damon and their uncanny resemblance to each other, but it was later revealed that Elena was Katherine's doppelganger.
Katherine Petrova a.k.a Katherine Pierce is a vampire and former lover of Damon and Stefan. She is depicting her physically romantic relationship
with the Salvatore brothers, eventually turning them, but was captured
by the townspeople of Mystic Fallsto be destroyed. Meanwhile, Elena is s an 18 year old human girl who lives in the supernatural town of Mystic Fall, with her adoptive brother/ biological cousin Jeremy.
The Originals
They are the first existing vampires
in the world. The Originals are the strongest and most powerful
vampires on the planet. They possess little to no weaknesses, except a
dagger combined with the ash of a White Oak Tree. The Original Family of
vampires lived within the European area’s for many centuries. All
together, there are only six - Niklaus, Elijah, Finn, Kol, Mikael and Rebekah.
The witch
Bonnie Bennett is the best friend of Elena, close friend of Caroline, and also a very powerful witch.
The werewolf a.k.a hybrid
Tyler Lockwood is a hybrid who plays for the Mystic Falls High school football team. He was a werewolf until being successfully sired into a hybrid by Klaus.
The friendship
Elena and Bonnie
have a strong bond full of trust, loyalty and a long lasting friendship.
They tell everything to each other like Bonnie being a witch and Elena
having a vampire boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Elena and Caroline are class mates and also friends outside of school. Even though Elena doesn't seem to ask for advice from Caroline as much as she does to Bonnie, the pair still refers to each other as good friends.

The triangle love stories
1st epic : Damon-Elena-Stefan
Like the love triangle with the two Brothers, Salvatore Brothers and Katherine Pierce, Damon and Stefan are again in love with the same girl. But this time
it wasn't Katherine but Elena Gilbert, who happens to be an Petrova
doppelganger just like Katherine. Stefan and Elena meet and instantly fall in love but their
romance is complicated when Stefan's brother, Damon, arrives in town to
free Katherine from the tomb. Damon and Elena become friends and after
Katherine breaks Damon's heart, Damon begins to fall in love with Elena.
Elena begins to develop feelings for the elder brother as the series
moves forward.

The Delena Team
The relationship between Elena and Damon has been complicated throughout the series, due to the fact that Damon
is in love with Elena and she is romantically involved with Damon's
brother, Stefan.
However, they have formed a strong bond over the past three seasons and
despite multiple arguments and misunderstandings, it's evident that
Elena cares a great deal for Damon and may also harbor romantic feelings
for him as well, however her loyalty to Stefan prevents her from
expressing them.
2nd epic : Klaus-Caroline-Tyler
The relationship between Caroline and Tyler has, in the past, never been strong, but the revelation of their supernatural identities of Caroline being a vampire and Tyler being a werewolf, brought acquaintanceship to friendship. While, Klaus and Caroline met when Klaus saved Caroline when she had been bitten by Tyler.
Well...it's a chaotic complete package of all the underworld character (except for ghost..i think; but leave it to Supernatural then for those ghostiesss plot..)
That's why hubby and myself like to follow the continuous story-telling of this tv serie.
