Baju Raya...
So, Hari Raya Aidilfitri will be in September..yet for us ladies we have to be hurry coz most of our tailors are using the same script '...eh, cepat anta baju..nanti dah tak terima tempahan dah..'. Can you imagine..we're still in May and Raya will be in September...but we have to give our fabrics ASAP.
As for myself, it will be a less glamorous raya fashion this time around compared to those years when i was still single. During ancient time which is not that ancient...i spent like crazy especially for the 'Baju Hari Raya Pertama'. Sometimes it could cost me around RM600-700 just for that 1st day raya outfit alone...crazy right...i know.
But now, being a married lady...i don't want to spend that much. Plus, i carefully chose just the fabric which wouldn't need some lining work coz it will cost me RM180 per outfit compared to the non-lining baju kurung or kebaya which will only cost me around RM50-60 per outfit.
If previously, i will focus to go to Euromoda for my first day raya outfit. Now...i just concentrate myself purchasing all my raya fabrics in Gulatis Silk House n i end up buying some nice Korean washable silk. Then, i bought some non-lining batik crepe purchases with Ju.
For this year, i have to face the fact that i'll have no kebaya or kurung moden outfit. All of it will be in the typical traditional kurung melayu fashion.
With all this, i think i'm satisfied with my raya outfit decision making this year..
