Whirlwind...

It has been a hectic one week for me and hubby..

First..Alhamdulilah..Emyr came to our world..and what a joyous day for us to have a prince of our own..this time around..after we had Hayra last year..a beautiful princess that gives smile to both of us all this while..

The next day..my beloved auntie..Makcik Ton died..after battling with her cancer for 15 years. It was really a sad moment for me because she was one of the best person that had given me such a good guidance about being a good Muslim.

Then, on monday..Emyr was admitted to Pusrawi due to his high jaundice reading..and it was on his 6th day. I was sad..really..i cried and cried. Mom & hubby asked me to stop crying..'Takut meroyan nanti'..my mom said and i followed their advice. The doctor told me before that he might be exposed to this situation due to him being vacuumed even though i had him with the normal labour situation.

During this time, i have regrets..yes..REGRETS. I thought..if i proceed with the epidural, this thing might not happened..just like i did with Hayra..an epi and she was a jaundice-free baby. However, i just took the epidural last year..so i was worried it would affect my backbone if i take it two years in a row. Besides, this had been planned for me and hubby by Allah yang Maha Esa.

So, without the epidural..the nurse injected me with the painkillers to make my contractions less painful and later, she asked me to inhale the morphine by using the oxygen mask each time when i feel the pain. In the end, i thought that the morphine did influence my ability and concentration to push..and after an hour the doctor made the decision to use the vacuum. Another reason for me not to take the epidural was that i wanted to feel the differences between birth with epidural and without it. Well, i felt it..especially during the last push..it was really different and more painful than with the epidural.

The next day, i gave my opinion regarding the morphine factor to the doctor and she kind of agree with me because there was a case where a patient laughed so hard during the labour time due to being overdosed by the morphine. Mmm..then, it wasn't my fault when i felt like i wanted to sleep while pushing Emyr out in the labour room.

After knowing about Emyr situation, my tukang urut asked me to drink this Gamat product..Gamogen and a goat milk as well. I bought a powder milk product named HiGoat (..please do not drink the pure goat milk..not good for the baby..this was an advice by the nurses & the doctor..the powder milk based would be safer). At the same time, i was blessed that i could provide Emyr with my milk and the nurse told me that he always finished all the EBM that i prepared for him. Alhamdulillah..his jaundice reading dropped tremendously and today, Emyr was discharged..and both me & hubby..we're so happy..

During my pregnancy..this time around..i gained 15 kg (..ehemm..compared to before..it was 20kg with Hayra). Today is my 8th confinement day..and with all these whirlwind situation happened to me, i shed 10kg already..another 5kg more to go before i get back my before-pregnant weight.

Now..i can breath in a normal pace..InsyaAllah. I'm going to continue my berpantang stage..at ease and of course my another shedding-5kg mission. For next pregnancy (kalau ada rezeki)..the epidural is totally a definite for me..:)..and this is me today..smiling while holding our dear prince..(..mmm..still dgn ke'kembang'an org lps bersalin giteww..i don't like..:(..takpe..caiyok caiyok..u can do it effiza azwani..)
